Qualifications:
- MBA in Finance would be preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with precision.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of Sales Tax (VAT & Use Tax) would be preferred.
- Experience with tracking tools like Salesforce & Atlassian, Jira
- The position requires oral and written communication with external customers and collaboration with internal contacts.
- Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responding client queries.
Job Duties:
- Prepare and file Sales & Use tax returns and payments accurately and timely as required by taxing jurisdictions to ensure all return filing deadlines are achieved.
- Should have an understanding of state rules and regulations.
- High standards for accuracy are to be maintained in line with standard operating procedures to avoid causing Penalties and Interests to the client.
- Ability to meet the SLAs and ensure accurate and timely registration.
- Communicate to the manager ongoing status and challenges or blockers, if any.
- Stay abreast of all the updates & trends and support overall production/accuracy goals.
- Find and implement opportunities for process improvement and build efficiency.
- Working with the team to plan and prepare monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual filings.
- Serve as front-line contact for external customers by answering emails and client calls.
- Assist internal groups with technical issues and inquiries.
- Communicate clearly and concisely and maintain accurate and timely records in systems.
- Be open to accepting additional responsibilities assigned to meet the deadlines.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Ability to adhere to and deliver as per various government authorities’ timelines and data formats.
- Flexible to extend working hours, working on weekends and holidays as may be required to complete the filing requirements.
What you’ll do: Business License Associate Analysts are responsible for handling registrations and filings for all requested licenses at all levels of government. The current opening focuses on state-level sales tax registrations, primarily online. This position requires learning quickly to start working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where attention to detail, analytical skills and strong communication skills are essential.
