Associate Software Engineer:
- Bachelors or Masters (preferred) degree in computer science or a related field
- 3-5 years experience in the IT industry Product and Platform development preferred.
About you:
- Strong programming skills with Java or Scala.
- Hands-on Experience in AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3 Elastic) with a combination of Python.
- Exposure to Big Data/Hadoop (EMR, etc) will be an advantage.
- Experience with Agile methodology, continuous integration and/or Test Driven Development
- Self-motivated with a strong desire for continual learning
- Take personal responsibility to impact results and deliver on commitments
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of an agile development team.
About the Role:
- Actively participate in the full life cycle of software delivery; including analysis, design, implementation and testing of new projects and features using Hadoop, Spark, Scala or Java, Hive, SQL, and other open-source tools and design patterns.
- Ready to take challenges and learn to deliver using new technologies like Big Data, AWS services like EMR, S3, Lambdas, and Elastic if not part of skills already.
- Actively participate in the development and testing of features for assigned projects with little to no guidance.
- The position holds opportunities to work under technical experts and also to provide guidance and assistance to less experienced team members or new joiners in the path of the project.
- Appetite for learning will be key attribute for doing well in the role as the Org is very dynamic and has tremendous scope into various technical landscapes.
- Proactively share knowledge and best practices on using new and emerging technologies across all of the development and testing groups
- Create, review and maintain technical documentation of software development and testing artifacts
